Rachel is a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families. She attended Indiana University where she received her Master in Clinical Psychology-Counseling Practice, Summa Cum Laude. She has worked in a variety of settings, including inpatient treatment centers and residential psychiatric programs. Rachel enjoys working with individuals of all ages, diagnoses, and diverse backgrounds, but specializes in depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem issues, and relationship issues. She uses a variety of approaches based on the client’s needs, including person-centered, strengths-based, and cognitive-behavioral. She also incorporates mindfulness-based practices. Rachel is an empathetic, compassionate, and supportive counselor who tailors each session to the specific needs of the client. She works to meet the client where they are at, by building a trusting therapeutic alliance and collaborating on expectations and goals. Rachel is very active and engaged throughout the process and strives to assist the client in reaching their goals and creating significant, positive and lasting change in their life.

Due to the current circumstances in the world, feelings of loneliness, sadness and anxiety are more and more present in many lives. Together, we can build a trusting and sincere therapeutic relationship that will aid you in addressing difficulties that you face and pursuing your goals.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Illinois, with experience working with all ages and a wide variety of presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression and relationship issues. I utilize evidence-based approaches while working with clients, but tailor each session to the specific needs of the client.
